Roger Volz

Vocals & Saxophone

Roger Volz, lead vocals and saxophones, has played in Bay Area bands for nearly 40 years including: The Dynatones and The Michael Barclay Blues Band. Additionally, he has performed with The Box Tops, The Grass Roots, Syl Johnson, Sir Mack Rice, Lowell Fulsom, Mark Naftalin and Ron Thompson. He can be heard singing Up All Nite, a duet with Lydia Pense, on Cold Blood’s release Soul of The Gypsy and performed the tune with Lydia and Cold Blood at the City Winery in Napa. Roger has also written the original material for Soul Fuse. Roger is the lead singer and founder of Soul Fuse, Sonoma County’s Top Soul and Funk band.

Drums

Terry Baker started his drum career at the age of 12 with a pair of stolen (not by him) drumsticks and has been drumming ever since. He has toured, recorded and performed with many great Bay Area bands and national stars including: MIchael Bloomfield, Charlie Musselwhite, The Hoodoo Rhythm Devils, Brian Auger and Search Party, The Coasters, Kingfish with Bob Weir and The Rancho Nicasio All Stars.

Tim Haggerty

Keyboards & Bass

Tim Haggerty was born into a musical family. His father was a prominent studio guitarist, his mother, a professional dancer from Cuba. Tim’s in-demand skills as a keyboard and bass player led to collaborations with several popular recording artists. Jesse Colin Young tapped his arranging skills for several of his recording projects, and Jewell for her performance at the Super Bowl. He also plays regularly with his brother Terry Haggerty, the legendary guitarist from the Sons of Champlin, and with his son, Aaron Haggerty, who tours as drummer with Al McKay from Earth, Wind & Fire. Most recently Tim has performed on keyboards and bass with Huey Lewis Guitarist Chris Hayes & Saxophonist Michael Bolivar, and currently tours with The Gator Nation Band.
